Meet current class member Aaron McConnell!

Aaron McConnell, an Investigator with the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, was born and raised in Ottumwa where he currently resides with his wife and two daughters.

“Like anyone else, I find learning to be fun when it’s a topic you enjoy and are passionate about. After hearing about O.L.A. from several former students I began to ask questions,” stated Aaron.  “I learned O.L.A. would provide me with the opportunity to not only network with other professionals in Wapello County but would also provide me a better insight on the opportunities that are present in this community. Having a better understanding of the programs and types of assistance there are in the community, will better position me when working and dealing with individual(s) that could benefit from those services.”

My top 5 are: Achiever, Futuristic, Responsibility, Learner, and Arranger.

“The day we sat down and received a more in-depth understanding of all the educational system(s) in Wapello County has been my biggest takeaway so far. Having lived in Ottumwa my entire life I was unaware of the great lengths that ALL school districts went to try in providing the best learning opportunity for the child.”

“I hope to keep learning about the community that I love and continue to do my part in making this the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
