September Opening Retreat 2 half-day sessions; overnight stay at Honey Creek Resort
October  Human, Community, & Health Services ½ day presentations from human, community, & health services organizations Poverty Experience
November Education Discussion with area educators, board members, etc.
December Criminal and Civil Justice Systems & Public Safety Perspectives from a judge, prosecutor, police chief, fire chief and tours of law enforcement center and fire station
January  Media, Public Relations, & Communications Interacting with the media and public relations training
February  County & Municipal Government Planning & Development Panel discussion: mayor, city administrator, city council; county supervisors. Presentations on growth, land use and development with a panel of city and town planners
March State Government Trip to the statehouse and meet with local representatives
April Business, Industry and Agriculture Panel discussion: Chamber, Economic Development, Main Street. Tours of area agriculture, manufacturing and business facilities
May Quality of Life Presentations from professionals representing county tourism, arts & culture, recreation, and other civic organizations
June Closing Session & Graduation Day session 8:30 – 3:00 p.m. Graduation Banquet: (5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.) Team Project Presentations & keynote speaker
Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Networking social immediately following sessions – attendance is expected for at least 15-20 minutes. Lunch is provided & participants are expected to stay during lunch. **O.L.A. has the right to change curriculum topics and/or detail. This is to provide a general road map for the upcoming year.
