Melanie Courtney, a graduate of Fairfield High School, joined the Ottumwa Leadership Academy after being named Deposit Service Supervisor and Digital Banking Manager for South Ottumwa Savings Bank. Melanie joined the Ottumwa Leadership Academy to improve her leadership, communication, and public speaking skills.
One of her early experiences as a member of the class of 2021-2022 was diving into her CliftonStrengths results. “My top five strengths are Responsibility, Input, Includer, Strategic, and Command,” she shared. According to Gallup, people who have a high ranking in the Responsibility theme take ownership of what they say they will do. Melanie went on to say, “learning about my strengths has helped me realize where I can help the most and reach my goals.”
