Sadie Waugh is the Director of Marketing and Development at First Resources Corporation. She earned her Bachelors in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Chadron State College in Nebraska, where she was a two-sport athlete.
Sadie moved to Ottumwa in early 2020, which drove her to apply to the Ottumwa Leadership Academy. “Before moving to Ottumwa, I was completely integrated in my community, in the entire county, and I knew everyone. I quickly realized how important that was to me in my short time here, and I wanted to be involved! But most importantly, I have always wanted to hone my leadership skills and continue to learn new and exciting ways to be a leader within a community,” she said.
“My top five CliftonStrengths are Adaptability, Strategic, Developer, Relator, Belief. Learning these things was one of the most intriguing days we have had,” she said. “In understanding these qualities better, I have been better able to utilize my strengths, some of which I may have previously thought of as annoyances more than anything. I am also better able to understand each other person’s strengths that we don’t always align perfectly, but there is always a way to use our strengths together.”
